Do you struggle with keeping your floors squeaky clean? Do you constantly have people trailing through the house in their outdoor shoes? Do they always leave dirty marks that just won’t budge? If you experience these problems, here are five different hacks we bet you didn’t know!

Sick of scuffs on your floors?

Take a clean tennis ball and rub it against the mark on the floor. It’ll be gone in a moment!

Are your natural wood floors looking a little dull?

Add ⅓ cup of vinegar, ⅛ cup of olive oil and ten drops of essential oil or 2-3 tsp of lemon juice to your mop bucket. Lastly, add in hot water and mop your floor in the direction of the wood. Bringing your floor back to life. You can also dry your floor with a microfibre towel for that extra shine.

Do your carpets stink?

Take a little bit of baking soda across the carpet and allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes and then vacuum. This will leave your carpet odourless.

Is the grout between your tiles starting to look a little nasty?

Grab some toilet bowl cleaner, pour it into a little cup, dip in an old toothbrush and scrub the dirty grout. Let the toilet bowl cleaner sit for 10-20 minutes and watch as it foams lifting all dirt and grime. Then take a spray bottle of water with a little vinegar and scrub the excess toilet cleaner with a clean toothbrush. This hack will leave your grout looking brand new.

Did you know Black Tea can be an effective cleaner for hardwood floors?
